RECLAIM is a monthly daytime dance party in Oakland for folks who identify as BIPOC, Queer, or both.
Our dances are sober and talk-free, followed by intentional conversation spaces to inspire building community with other dancers.
RECLAIM envisions a world where BIPOC and Queer people are moving towards liberation together. We center the Black, the Brown, and Queer because now, more than ever, we need fresh visions to create a thriving world for all—regardless of who we love, how we identify, or the melanin in our skin.
Our mission is to unite BIPOC and Queer dancers through communal movement, self-expression, and meaningful exchange. By dancing together, we empower ourselves to build deeper connections, find courage, and co-create a more just and compassionate world.
RECLAIM stands in solidarity with Black, Brown, Queer, Indigenous, Palestinian, Congolese, Sudanese and all people resisting oppressive systems.”
